Compagnie clapotis
Compagnie Clapotis is a non-profit theatre company based in Bordeaux, France, that aims to bring immersive and site specific bilingual theatre to local areas through productions and workshops. Our main question is: how can we bring theatre off of stages and into communities? We do this through the exploration of unique performance spaces, poignant texts, and linguistic cultural exchange.
Compagnie Clapotis creates productions that empower a diverse range of international voices, with a focus on representation for all. We are devoted to fostering relationships with both local and international artists from a range of different backgrounds.
Compagnie Clapotis prioritises the conception of multidisciplinary work that explores immersive, site specific, and bilingual performance, using classical, modern, and original texts. We are invested in deepening the craft of performance creation by prioritising artists, residencies, and accessibility.
